7th September 2024 is National Threatened Species day.
The Western Ringtail Possum is recognised as a threatened species under State and Commonwealth legislation.
With that in mind, we’d like to introduce you to our baby female ringtail possum, “Velcro”. Velcro was found cold and alone on a miserable winters day, weighing only 200g.
She is now thriving in care and has doubled her weight. She is full of character and impossibly cute!
In coming weeks Velcro will be weaned off her possum milk and prepared for her return home.
